CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

Creative Arts Workshop employs over 55 professional artists part-time to teach + classes and workshops to nearly 2,000 adults and 1,000 young people each year. Classes are available for students at all levels of experience and are kept small to ensure that individual attention can be given to everyone. Students learn in a supportive environment and are encouraged to fully explore their creativity and strive for excellence. Advanced students and professional artists come to the Workshop to learn new techniques and to take advantage of open studio sessions with access to equipment, live models and critique sessions.

CAW also offers a wide array of WORKSHOPS, perfect for beginning students looking to try out an art class or advanced students looking to focus on a specific area or develop a new skill.

DOWNLOAD SPRING SESSION 2010

Spring term begins the week of March 15 and ends June 5, 2010 except as noted. There will be no class on Monday, May 31, Memorial Day. Beginning and ending dates are noted with each course description. Any shorter courses will specify dates in the course description.

• All course prices include lab and/or model fees. The cost of materials is not included.

• Course descriptions specify suggested minimum levels of experience. If you are unsure whether a certain course is suitable for you, please don't hesitate to ask. If necessary, we can arrange for the instructor to contact you directly to answer your questions.

Please enroll by March 8th. You may enroll after this date, but early enrollment is encouraged due to limited class size. You can register NOW by mail or on our website. You may also register in person at CAW between 9 and 5, Monday through Friday. All registrations will be processed in the order in which they are received. Please note that your place in a class is secured with the receipt of your payment.

• All classes have limited enrollment.

• The decision to cancel a class which does not meet its required minimum enrollment is made about one week before the class begins.

• Please note that we cannot reserve your place in a class without having received payment.

• A $3.00 handling charge will be added to phone registrations.

• Students are only notified if a class is full or cancelled. If you would like confirmation of your registration, please send a stamped self-addressed envelope.

CAW periodically documents classes through still photography and video for publicity purposes. These images are used in the course brochure, advertisements and other publicity materials for the benefit of the Workshop. Registration in a course at CAW includes permission to photograph you and/or your artwork, and to use your image in its publicity materials unless you inform the photographer that you do not wish to have your photograph taken. If you do not want to allow CAW to photograph your child for publicity purposes, please notify us at the time of registration.
