Learn how easy it is to make an elegant Japanese Shoji lamp in this one-day workshop. Students will use wood and rice paper to create a floor or table lamp and will even learn a simple technique for electrically wiring the lamp. Students will leave with a unique finished lamp of your own design. All materials are supplied but feel free to bring in any special rice paper. Phillip Chambers is a master Shoji screen maker with commissioned work in fine stores, restaurants, homes and hospitals. His lamps are featured in CAW’s Celebration of American Crafts.
