REGISTRATION
• Summer term begins the week of June 21 and ends July 30, 2010 except as noted. There will be no class on Monday, July 5, for the Independence Day holiday. Beginning and ending dates are noted with each course description. Any shorter courses will specify dates in the course description.
• All course prices include lab and/or model fees. The cost of materials is not included.
• Course descriptions specify suggested minimum levels of experience. If you are unsure whether a certain course is suitable for you, please don't hesitate to ask. If necessary, we can arrange for the instructor to contact you directly to answer your questions.
• Please enroll by June 14th. You may enroll after this date, but early enrollment is encouraged due to limited class size. You can register NOW by mail or on our website. You may also register in person at CAW between 9 and 5, Monday through Friday. All registrations will be processed in the order in which they are received. Please note that your place in a class is secured with the receipt of your payment.
• All classes have limited enrollment.
• The decision to cancel a class which does not meet its required minimum enrollment is made about one week before the class begins.
• Please note that we cannot reserve your place in a class without having received payment.
• A $3.00 handling charge will be added to phone registrations.
• Students are only notified if a class is full or cancelled. If you would like confirmation of your registration, please send a stamped self-addressed envelope.

Payment Plan Option
Payment for Creative Arts Workshop course may be made in installments over the coming months. Participants pay one third of the fee at registration and can spread out the remaining balance. Full payment is due before the course begins. Please call the Registrar at 562-4927 with questions.
Cancellations/Refund Policy
• If a class is oversubscribed when a student's payment is received, the student will be notified via email or phone; the full amount will be refunded or may be applied toward another course.
• If a class is canceled because of insufficient enrollment, students will be notified via email or phone and full tuition will be refunded or may be applied toward another course.
• Refunds for a student's cancellation of a course or workshop can be made only for a medical reason and require a physician's note. A registration fee of $25 will be withheld. If withdrawal is necessary during a term, credit can only be given from date of notification to the front office and a registration fee of $25 will be withheld.
• A student missing a regularly scheduled class will not receive a refund.
• Classes not held due to bad weather or instructor's absence will be rescheduled.
The Workshop reserves the right to change its calendar, withdraw or modify course of instruction or substitute instructors at anytime. It also reserves the right to require the withdrawal of any student whose conduct is deemed detrimental. It is expected students will regularly attend all classes for which they are registered.
Supplies/First Class
If you own art materials and supplies applicable to the course
you are taking, please bring them to the first class. If your
instructor has a list of recommended materials, it will be mailed
to you. Students enrolled in CAW courses may purchase materials
at a discount at selected art supply stores, using a copy of
their registration confirmation for identification.
General Information
The Workshop is accessible to individuals with disabilities. Please let us know of any special needs you might have and we will try to accommodate them.
The Workshop periodically documents classes through still photography and video for publicity purposes. These images are used in the course brochure, advertisements and other publicity materials for the benefit of the Workshop. Registration in a course at CAW includes permission to photograph you and/or your artwork and to use your image in its publicity materials unless you inform the photographer that you do not wish to have your photograph taken. If you do not want to allow CAW to photograph your child for publicity purposes, please notify us at the time of registration.

Attention School Teachers:
Many of our courses qualify for CEU credit. Contact the Office of Staff Development in your school system for more information as their approval must be obtained in before the class begins.
Driving Directions & Parking
Access off 1-91 at Exit 3. Take exit 3 (Trumbull Street). At the bottom of the exit ramp, make a left at the light (Orange Street). Go to the next light and make a right (Grove Street). Go to the next light make a right (beginning of Whitney Avenue). Audubon Street is one block up on right (one-way). Creative Arts Workshop is half-way down the block. Parking is available next door at the Audubon Court Garage. Bring the ticket from the garage to stamp at front desk to receive a discount. The garage is attended until 10:15 PM Monday through Friday. |
