JAN / FEB 2010
January 6 - January 9 - Post-Exhibition
Sale. Enjoy special savings on items remaining
from the Celebration of American Crafts. 11:00am - 6:00pm
January 22 - February 12 - Jennifer Kaufman. An
exhibition featuring new work from the prizewinner and installations from the Merit Recognition Honorees of the
2009 national juried exhibition, Sky's the Limit.
Opening reception: Friday, January 22, 5-7pm.

Department Show I. New work by CAW faculty and students in the Book Arts, Drawing and Painting Jewelry, Pottery and Printmaking Departments.
February 28, 2-5pm - Annual Open House and opening reception of Department Show.

Arts Expo. The Southern Connecticut Conference, consisting
of 21 high schools in greater New Haven, will present a student
art exhibition at CAW, featuring a selection of outstanding
visual arts in a variety of media, produced by students in
grades 9 -12.
Opening reception: Monday, April 19, 5-7 pm.

- June 25: Inventive Structures: Books Beyond the Codex. A
national exhibition juried by Hedi Kyle.

book arts, design, drawing, fiber, jewelry, painting, photography, pottery, printmaking and
sculpture.

November 6 - December 24:
42nd Annual Celebration of American Crafts. An exhibition
and sale of fine contemporary crafts by over 300 artists across
the country representing the finest in glass, ceramics, jewelry,
wearable and decorative fiber, handcrafted furniture and much
more. Open Mon-Sat 11-6, Thursdays 11-8, Sundays 1-5, Dec 24
11-2.
November 21: 14th
Annual Bowl-a-thon. Sponsored
by the CAW Studio Potters, this event benefits the Community
Soup Kitchen. Make a donation and receive a beautiful handcrafted
mug or bowl filled with hearty soup and fresh baked bread. 1:30-5:00pm.
